Interwoven, 2026
The Logos school mural team is honored to donate the 2026 mural, Interwoven, to The International Institute of St. Louis as a symbol of our appreciation for the meaningful work they do to welcome and support migrants and immigrants as they begin new lives in the St. Louis area. We are grateful for the richness, strength, and diversity they bring to our community.
We wanted the artwork to reflect the vibrance of the people who walk through their doors each day. As we began our research, we explored the fabrics and textiles from the 53 countries The International Institute has helped serve. Our research helped us understand the challenges that can accompany new beginnings—learning a new language, adjusting to a different culture, relocating, and finding a sense of belonging. While each tradition was beautifully unique, we were struck by the common threads of color, pattern, and design that connect cultures around the world.
We hope the vibrant colors, layered patterns, and interconnected designs in Interwoven can celebrate both the uniqueness of every individual and the common humanity that unites us.
